The most formal paper... ecru (ivory) or white in color, they have a fold along the left hand side (like a wedding invitation), and fold again from top to bottom to fit into a smaller envelope. These sheets are used to reply to formal invitations and for letters of condolence. You may write on pages 1, 3 and 2 (in that order) of a letter sheet. The back page is never written on.
